ESSE Music Bar

The music bar located directly beside the platforms at the main railway station has committed itself completely to jazz and folk music. The name of the bar is not without good reason: the house was originally used as a smithy.

An "Esse" is a fireplace with a flue, for example like the ones used in a smithy. This reminder of its erstwhile use not only gave the bar its name but also makes for its unique ambiance. Every Thursday and Friday jazz events take place here and on Sundays the bar puts on folk concerts in the early evening.
