Kerala Children's Museum

The Kerala Children's Museum is integrated into the » Museum of Nature and provides a place to learn through play and experience for accompanied children aged 4 to 8.

Kerala, the museum doll, helps the little ones understand nature in the Children's Museum. Here the young natural scientists stroke animals, listen to stories or explore an oversized badger's burrow whilst pretending to be little badgers. Open large format books illustrate important habitats, which the children can match up with animals typical for these environments.

The children are allowed to display and label great treasures, which they have collected during their forays through woods and meadows, in the "drawer museum" - an oversized display case in the shape of a museum. Thus they become acquainted with the daily museum routine through play and at the same time any possible fear of the unknown vanishes!
