Max Bill shaped the cultural life of the 20th century with his works

Max Bill was born in Winterthur on 2nd December 1908. He studied at the Zürcher Kunstgewerbeschule (school of arts and crafts) and continued his studies at the Bauhaus in Dessau. In the 1930s, he started his unique career which turned him into a homo universalis, or man of the world, just as his education had taught him. He not only made a name for himself as a sculptor and painter, but also as an architect, a typographer and a product designer. Visit the Max Bill Garden in Zürcherstrasse. » More
