Eulach Tour
Although Winterthur is also referred to as Eulachstadt, little can be seen of the city's stream: for the most part it was banished underground - this is exactly where our tour takes you. Does our drinking water come from the Eulach? You are about to find out.
Equipped with sturdy shoes and torches the tour gets underway. The rushing tunnel is 700 metres long and runs directly below Winterthur main railway station. If you are really quiet you can even hear the drone of the incoming trains. Once back above ground we will tell you why rats are welcome animals in the sewers and show you where the city's most spectacular fountains are located. By the end of the tour you are sure to crave a good mouthful of Winterthur water...
